Work settings define how a workspace records Deals and structured relationship data. Administrators should agree on the model before importing many records.

Workflows and stages

Create a workflow for one repeatable process. Give it stages that represent meaningful progress. Reorder or rename stages carefully because existing Deals use them. Configure value tracking only when the team will maintain Deal values consistently. Forecasts use the workflow and stage settings together with current Deal data.

Custom fields

Create a custom field when the team needs a typed value that is not part of the standard record. Choose the record type and field type before members start entering data. Use clear names and avoid two fields for the same fact. Deactivate or retire a field only after checking saved views, imports, and integrations that use it.

Lead forms

A lead form collects approved fields into the workspace through its public form link. Configure the form, required fields, and destination before sharing it. Test a submission and review the resulting record. Treat the form link as public. Do not request secrets or sensitive information that your organization is not prepared to store in Floral.

Before a large change

Export or record the current configuration, check integrations and CSV mappings, and test the new setup with a small set of records. A renamed stage or field can change how saved views and imports behave even when existing data remains present.
