The Slack integration lets members ask the Floral Assistant read-only questions from Slack. It must be available for your Floral installation and connected by an organization administrator.

Connect the organization

An organization administrator opens Settings > Assistants > Slack and selects Connect Slack. The Slack approval flow installs Floral for the organization.
1

Message Floral in Slack

Send a direct message or mention the Assistant in a channel.
2

Open the personal link

Floral sends a sign-in link that identifies your Slack user.
3

Choose a workspace

Select one eligible Floral workspace. The link binds your Slack identity to your Floral user and that workspace.
4

Ask a question

Direct messages stay between you and the Assistant. A channel mention starts a public thread. People in the channel can read it and continue there without another mention.
Slack currently exposes read actions only. It can retrieve permitted workspace information but does not create or change records. Every message in a shared thread uses the sender’s own Floral identity and permissions. Account-linking prompts are shown only to the person who needs to link and are not posted to the channel. You can disconnect your own Slack identity in Floral. An organization administrator can disconnect the Slack installation for the organization. Disconnecting removes future access but does not delete messages already retained by Slack.
