# Record and transcribe meetings

> Capture a meeting, upload it to the right workspace, and understand what happens next.

Floral can turn a meeting recording into a transcript and a draft summary. Recording options depend on your workspace and device.

## Before recording

* Confirm that the meeting feature is available.
* Select the correct workspace and, if possible, the correct company or calendar event.
* Tell participants that the meeting will be recorded and follow the laws and policies that apply to you.
* Use a stable connection for upload. The mobile app records locally first and can offer a retry when an upload fails.

## During and after the meeting

On mobile, open **Record**, start the capture, and use pause and resume when needed. Stop the recording when the meeting ends, review the company link, then upload it.

For an online meeting, use the capture option shown for the event when your workspace provides one. The meeting detail shows the recording and processing state.

After upload, Floral processes the audio. A long recording can take longer to appear. Do not upload the same recording again while the first copy is still processing.

## Review the result

The transcript is supporting material. The summary is the working record your team should review and approve. Names, numbers, decisions, and assigned work can be misunderstood, so compare important details with the recording or transcript before approval.

If processing fails, use the retry action shown in Floral when one is available. Contact support with the workspace name and meeting title if the failure remains.
