# Company and person records

> Create records and understand the information shown on company and person profiles.

Open a record from Contacts or workspace search. The profile groups stable details with the workspace's own relationship history.

## Create a company

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Contacts">
    Choose **New company** from Contacts or the create menu.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Search the Danish registry">
    Search by company name or CVR. Select the correct result if one appears. You can also enter a company manually when registry data is not relevant.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Review the details">
    Confirm the name and any filled profile fields, then save the company in the active workspace.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If the CVR already belongs to a company in the workspace, Floral can resolve the existing record instead of creating a duplicate.

## Create a person

Choose **New person**, add the person's name and any known contact details, then select their company if applicable. You can change the company link later.

## Profile sections

Depending on access and available data, a record can show:

* profile and contact details;
* linked people or company;
* relationships to other companies;
* meetings, briefings, and summaries;
* notes and activity;
* owners, tags, lifecycle, metadata, and custom fields;
* related Deals and Tasks when Work is available.

Use the activity timeline to understand what changed and when. Use notes for information that should remain attached to the record but is not a structured field.
